With approximately 10 Chinese OEMs occupying the top 20 rankings, it is evident that Chinese manufacturers have established themselves as a dominant force in the industry since. Surprisingly, there were no Japanese manufacturers who managed to deliver at least 100,000 electric vehicles that year. This suggests that companies like Toyota and Honda may still be comfortable with internal combustion engine vehicles and could catch up later, but this is just my personal observation.
On the other hand German manufacturers, including Volkswagen, BMW, and Mercedes, secured the third, fourth, and fifth positions, showing their commitment to not being left behind in the EV market, similar to Korean OEMs Hyundai and Kia. The USA maintained a strong position, with Tesla ranking as #2 and likely remaining a major reference in this technology for many years to come."
