What electric vehicle model claimed the top spot in sales for the year 2022?
According to data released by the IEA, the Tesla Model Y emerged as the best-selling model on a global scale in the previous year.
While BYD song plus humble in second place, Tesla model 3 not far behind in third place. In the fourth position, the Wuling Mini EV, known for its affordability and appeal to female users, stood out. Positions five through eight were dominated by various BYD series models, including Qin Plus, Han, Dolphin, and Atto 3.
The German automaker Volkswagen secured the ninth position on this top 10 list with its "ID 4" model, and closely trailing in the tenth spot is another BYD model, the "Tang".
All in all, this list is bound to change from year to year, but I have a strong believe that Tesla will consistently maintain its top position with its iconic brand. Meanwhile as demonstrated in the prior year, BYD secured six out of the ten spots, capturing a significant market share, and is poised to remain a formidable force in the industry.
